Summary
Prestigious non-profit is seeking a program assistant to join their grants team. Responsibilities will include attending meetings and taking notes, creating presentations using PowerPoint as well as compiling materials for board purposes. Will respond to both internal and external requests for information and documentation. Manage grant process flow alongside the program team and the grants manager. Create and maintain Excel spreadsheets with accuracy and be able to manipulate data. Manage database including tracking grants, inputting program notes and report generation. Coordinate grant payments with finance staff. Manage grant application process and reporting process. Role is in office 5 days with a great work/life balance of 8:30am – 5pm with an hour for lunch. Free parking onsite with a subsidized restaurant on property for lunch. Room for growth on the team!
Qualifications
The ideal candidate must have a college degree plus 2-3 years of support or project management experience with a passion for mission driven causes ideally out of a not for profit. Must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Must have strong technical skills and an ability to learn new software easily. Experience using databases is required. Proven track record using Excel to manage data as well as prior experience creating PowerPoint presentations. Must have a strong attention to detail, great multi-tasking skills, be a strong team player, and be willing to support the department at all levels.
