NYC mid-sized law firm is seeking a HR Specialist who will manage the recruitment and onboarding process for attorneys and staff including role postings and working with agencies, screen resumes, conduct and schedule interviews, generate offer letters, and complete reference and background checks. Individual will manage the HR database, create new hire profiles, input payroll and process changes. They will assist in the payroll process on a semi-monthly basis and ensure all pay changes are accurate. Create and manage full-day orientation schedules for new hires and conduct first-day orientation. Generate salary and headcount reports for senior management review using HRIS and Excel. Manage performance review processes for non-legal staff by creating evaluation forms and assigning to appropriate employees and managers. Prepare and maintain HR budget. Manage HR-related reporting such as salary and wages, EEO-1, RFPs, diversity surveys and turnover statistics. Manage expense requests, unemployment claims, and employment verification forms and letters. Participate in exit interviews for voluntary resignations.
Completed BA/BS degree is required. 3 plus years of HR experience, preferably in a professional services environment. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail. Experience with HRIS programs, Paycom experience is a plus. Extensive knowledge and proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Work, PowerPoint).
