Well established financial services firm is looking for a HR Generalist to support their dynamic HR department. The HR Generalist will focus on the daily functions of the department in New York, including hiring staff, benefits, leave management, HRIS reporting, compensation planning, and maintaining company policies and practices. Individual will lead the new hire orientation process as well as manage benefits administration and open enrollment. Will run Form 5500 filings, and audits for benefit plans in partnership with benefits administrator. Partner with team on the HR onboarding and offboarding process. Will partner on data management in the HRIS system locally and partner globally. Help support performance management and talent process locally and with the global team. Manage the deferred compensation statements in partnership with the HR Director and HR Accountant. Role assists with the recruitment lifecycle of junior level positions, including scheduling interviews, screening candidates, working with hiring manager and recruiters.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree ideally in a human resource related discipline. Must have at least 7+ years of HR experience working in small or medium-sized organizations, ideally within the financial services industry. Must have strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with HRIS and talent management systems. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
